Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist patients in restoring mobility, improving functional abilities, reducing pain, and achieving rehabilitation goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions.
  • Assist patients in improving strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional independence.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and injury prevention.
  • Instruct patients on the safe use of assistive devices, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment.
  • Maintain accurate treatment documentation, progress notes, and patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with discharge planning and continuity of patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapist Assistant experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercise, patient mobility, and functional restoration.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or long-term care settings.
  • Previous travel or contract therapy experience preferred.
  • Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, and medically complex patients.
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Pay Rate
$33.68 - $38.56/hour
