Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence, and help promote recovery from injury, illness, or surgery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions
  • Assist patients in improving strength, flexibility, coordination, endurance, and functional mobility
  • Train patients in the safe use of assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and mobility aids
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention
  • Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapist Assistant experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient care practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

Pay Rate
$37.48 - $42.36/hour
