Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or licensed healthcare provider. The PCT plays a vital role in supporting patient comfort, safety, and daily care needs while contributing to a positive and efficient healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, and patient weights
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Provide basic bedside care and comfort measures
• Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., blood glucose monitoring) as permitted
• Assist with specimen collection and transport
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
• Ensure patient rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support infection control and safety protocols at all times
• Provide compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician training program preferred
• Active CNA certification (if required by state or facility)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 6 months–1 year of patient care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to lift, turn, and reposition patients safely
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Pay Rate
$22.44 - $27.32/hour
