Paramedic
Position Summary
Provide advanced emergency medical care to patients experiencing illness or injury. Assess patient conditions, perform emergency interventions, administer medications, and safely transport patients while working closely with emergency medical teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessments and determine appropriate emergency care.
- Provide advanced life support and emergency medical interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Manage airways and provide respiratory support as needed.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment.
- Perform CPR and assist with advanced cardiac life-support procedures.
- Stabilize patients and prepare them for safe transport.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient care and transport documentation.
- Communicate patient status and treatment information to receiving healthcare providers.
- Maintain emergency medical equipment, supplies, and medications.
- Follow patient safety, infection-control, and emergency medical standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Paramedic training program.
- Current and active Paramedic certification/license in the applicable state.
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification preferred or required as applicable.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and other required emergency certifications.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency response skills.
Pay Rate
$45.22 - $50.10/hour
