Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paramedic to provide advanced life support (ALS) and emergency medical care to patients in emergency and pre-hospital settings. The Paramedic will assess, stabilize, and treat patients experiencing medical emergencies while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid patient assessments and provide advanced life support (ALS) care.
- Administer emergency medications, IV therapy, airway management, and cardiac interventions within scope of practice.
- Monitor patient condition, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and response to treatment.
- Operate emergency medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, and airway devices.
- Assist with patient stabilization, transport, and transfer of care.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies, trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other critical situations.
- Maintain accurate patient care reports and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or patient care reporting system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, EMTs, and other healthcare professionals.
- Inspect, maintain, and restock emergency equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and local/state EMS guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and mandatory training.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited Paramedic program.
- Active Paramedic certification/licensure in the state of practice.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent paramedic or emergency medical services experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of advanced life support, emergency medicine, trauma care, and cardiac monitoring.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or patient care reporting systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
