Job Description:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Palliative Care Manager ensures the program reflects excellence, regulatory compliance, and the mission to support patients and families with serious illness.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all program startup activities, including workflows, policies, and operational design
Manage program budget, financial performance
Supervise and support palliative care staff in collaboration with the Medical Director
Oversee compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and accreditation standards
Support provider credentialing and payer contracting
Ensure efficient scheduling, referrals, documentation, and care transitions
Drive program growth, customer service, and performance improvement
Deliver social work services during start up and as needed
Participate in the Manager On-Call Rotation for hospice services
Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work required; hospice or palliative care related leadership experience preferred.
Prior program development experience preferred
Experience in Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Office products is required
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, and guide teams through periods of growth and change.
