Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse
Position Summary
We are seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery. The RN will monitor patients, manage pain and medications, identify complications, and support safe recovery.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery.
- Assess vital signs, airway, breathing, and level of consciousness.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
- Manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms.
- Identify and respond to changes or complications.
- Assist with airway management and emergency interventions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Provide discharge instructions and patient education.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and healthcare staff.
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- PACU, perioperative, ICU, or critical care experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia and post-operative care.
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
$55.13 - $60.01/hour
