Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse
We are seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients during the immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and identify changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by state regulations.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- PALS certification preferred for facilities caring for pediatric patients.
- Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia recovery, patient assessment, and emergency response.
- Previous PACU, ICU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.
Pay Rate
$55.13 - $60.01/hour
