PA or APRN – Emergency Department
Position Summary
Provide advanced clinical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Perform assessments, diagnose and treat patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and collaborate with the emergency care team to provide timely and effective treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive and rapid patient assessments.
- Diagnose and manage acute medical conditions and injuries.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice.
- Perform procedures and assist with emergency interventions as needed.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and modify care plans accordingly.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and support patient safety standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nursing program.
- Current and active PA or APRN/NP license in the applicable state.
- National certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, as applicable.
- Previous Emergency Department or acute care experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required or preferred as applicable.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Pay Rate
$106.20 - $111.08/hour
