Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that help patients improve their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and regain functional independence. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote recovery, safety, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, fine motor skills, and daily living activities
- Train patients in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and compensatory techniques
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and adaptive techniques
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, clean treatment environment
- Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice
- Current NBCOT certification required where applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent occupational therapy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic interventions, adaptive equipment, and patient care
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
