Unit Notes
- Unit: Occupational Therapy Boise Hospital Flr 1

- # of patients treated per day: 8-10. 8-12 therapists working per day.
- General Certification Requirements: BLS
- Other Certs Required for all OT: State licensure
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neurologic-CVA, MS, Parkinson, Guillain Barre, cranial
surgeries, spinal surgeries, only thing we don't typically TBI; general medical, orthopedic-total joints,
fractures; cardiac-pacers, CABG, valve replacements; oncology, don't see transplant patients.
- Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient: Acute inpatient
- What areas are they required to cover: All medical floors (ICU not mandatory), PACU, ED. Occasional
need to float to other St. Luke's Hospital in 20 mile radius- floating is infrequent.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: 1 year acute care experience as a licensed
therapist, okay with first time traveler.
- EMR: EPIC
- Is there a PT Manager/Supervisor on each shift?: Manager. Weekends have an on call supervisor.
- Do you staff Rehab Aides: COTAs?: Rehab Aides, no COTAs.
- Shifts & Scheduling: 4- 10 hour days per week 730-1800. 8 week schedule, try to work with requests,
no self scheduling.
- Weekend Requirements: Yes, every other full weekend, or one weekend day per week.
- Holiday Requirements: No
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color scrubs or business casual accepted.
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: System orientation, orientation/training
class for documentation, orientation to hospital and department . This all occurs over the first 3-5
days.

**This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.**
