Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA)
We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality patient care by assisting physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of orthopedic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, assess, and treat patients with orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Perform physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and develop treatment plans.
- Assist in orthopedic surgeries and procedures as required.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) license as required by state regulations.
- Current NCCPA certification required.
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred based on facility requirements.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic conditions, musculoskeletal assessment, and treatment.
- Previous orthopedic or surgical physician assistant experience preferred.
Pay Rate
$144.31 - $149.19/hour
