Registered Nurse (RN) – Ortho/Neuro Unit
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions. The RN will monitor patient conditions, administer treatments and medications, assist with mobility and recovery, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe and effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor neurological and orthopedic conditions.
- Monitor vital signs, neurological status, pain levels, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative nursing care.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and activities of daily living.
- Monitor patients following orthopedic, spinal, and neurological procedures.
- Recognize and promptly report changes in neurological or clinical status.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, mobility, and discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Previous orthopedic, neurological, medical-surgical, or acute care experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Knowledge of orthopedic and neurological nursing practices.
- Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
