Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care for orthopedic and neurological patients. The RN will manage post-operative and medically complex patients, monitor neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, administer treatments, and support recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor neurological status, vital signs, pain levels, mobility, and functional changes.
  • Provide care for patients recovering from orthopedic and neurological procedures.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
  • Provide wound care, dressing changes, drain care, and post-operative nursing care.
  • Monitor patients for complications such as infection, bleeding, falls, and neurological changes.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices.
  • Collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and families on medications, mobility, safety, recovery, and discharge instructions.
  • Participate in admissions, transfers, care planning, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
  • Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
  • Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent orthopedic, neurological, medical-surgical, or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of post-operative care, neurological assessment, pain management, and patient safety.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN preferred.
  • Experience caring for patients after orthopedic, spine, joint replacement, or neurological procedures.
  • Knowledge of stroke, seizure, spinal injury, and neurological conditions.
  • Experience with mobility and rehabilitation-focused patient care.
  • Strong patient and family education skills.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
