Ultrasound Technologist
Position Summary
We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (U/S Tech) to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images for physician interpretation. The technologist will prepare patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and ensure accurate and complete imaging studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
- Obtain and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare and position patients for examinations.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment appropriately.
- Review images for quality, completeness, and diagnostic value.
- Document examination details and maintain accurate patient records.
- Communicate relevant findings or concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients.
- Follow radiation-free imaging, patient safety, infection control, and department standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Current ARDMS certification or applicable sonography credentials preferred/required based on role requirements.
- Previous ultrasound experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ultrasound equipment, imaging protocols, and patient safety practices.
- Strong technical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
Pay Rate
$65.04 - $69.92/hour
