OR Scrub Technologist
Position Summary
Assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and providing instruments and supplies during surgical procedures. Ensure safe and efficient support throughout each procedure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and surgical supplies.
- Set up and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures.
- Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgeons and surgical staff.
- Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and sterile draping.
- Handle and label specimens according to established procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control standards.
- Clean, disinfect, and restock the operating room after procedures.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous operating room or surgical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and infection prevention.
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
