Job Title: Psychiatric RN
Position Summary
We are seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe and compassionate care to patients with mental health and behavioral health needs. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, monitor behavior, and support treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' mental and physical health needs.
- Monitor behavior, mood, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Provide therapeutic support and maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral emergencies.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Educate patients and families about medications and treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and the behavioral health team.
- Follow safety, infection control, and facility procedures.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of mental health conditions and psychiatric nursing practices.
- BLS certification required or preferred based on facility requirements.
- Strong communication, assessment, and crisis-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients in a behavioral health setting.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
