Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Nurse, Trauma Surgical ICU
Position Summary
Provide specialized critical care to trauma and surgical patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. Monitor patients closely, administer treatments, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support stabilization and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor critically ill patients.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and other critical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
- Manage ventilators, invasive lines, drains, and other critical-care equipment.
- Recognize and respond quickly to patient deterioration and emergencies.
- Provide post-operative and trauma-related nursing care.
- Assist with procedures and emergency interventions as needed.
- Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and critical-care standards.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous Trauma ICU, Surgical ICU, ICU, or critical-care experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Strong critical-thinking, assessment, communication, and clinical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
