Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat patients with physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional impairments. The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence, restore daily living skills, and enhance overall quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, fine motor skills, coordination, cognition, and sensory integration.
- Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, splints, orthotics, and environmental modifications.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, joint protection, energy conservation, and safety strategies.
- Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice.
- Current NBCOT certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic interventions, adaptive equipment, and patient safety.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Pay Rate
$50.40 - $55.28/hour
