Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat patients with physical, cognitive, neurological, developmental, or psychosocial conditions. The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based rehabilitation services, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve functional independence, restore daily living skills, and enhance patients' overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess patients' functional, physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), upper extremity function, fine motor skills, coordination, balance, cognition, and mobility
- Recommend, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive devices, splints, orthotics, and environmental modifications
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, energy conservation, joint protection, and fall prevention strategies
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, discharge planning, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Promote patient independence and participation in meaningful daily activities through compassionate, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- NBCOT certification required where applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent Occupational Therapist experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, rehabilitation techniques, anatomy, functional assessments, and evidence-based practice
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, documentation, critical-thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered rehabilitation care
Pay Rate
$66.37 - $71.24/hour
