Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional conditions that impact their ability to perform everyday activities. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve functional independence, promote recovery, and enhance overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess functional abilities, cognitive skills, and rehabilitation needs
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, diagnoses, and clinical progress
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), upper extremity function, coordination, strength, balance, cognition, and fine motor skills
• Evaluate and recommend adaptive equipment, assistive devices, splints, and environmental modifications to maximize patient independence and safety
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies
• Monitor patient progress, perform reassessments, and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal functional outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, discharge planning, and patient education initiatives
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Promote patient independence, functional recovery, and participation in meaningful daily activities through patient-centered care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain clinical competency and best practices
Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Occupational Therapist experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, rehabilitation techniques, anatomy, and functional assessment methods
• Excellent clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based care
Pay Rate
$66.37 - $71.24/hour
