Job Title: OBU/L&D RN
Position Summary
We are seeking an Obstetric Unit/Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care to women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The RN will monitor maternal and fetal conditions, assist with deliveries, administer treatments, and support patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients throughout labor and delivery.
- Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist physicians and midwives with deliveries and procedures.
- Provide postpartum and newborn care.
- Recognize and respond to maternal or fetal complications.
- Assist with emergency interventions when needed.
- Educate patients and families on childbirth and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Labor & Delivery or Obstetric nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of maternal, fetal, and newborn care.
- BLS and NRP certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Ability to respond effectively to high-risk and emergency situations.
- Strong assessment, communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$83.33 - $88.21/hour
