OB Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor, Delivery & Postpartum

We are seeking an experienced OB Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The RN will monitor maternal and fetal conditions, assist with deliveries, provide postpartum care, and support patients and families throughout their childbirth experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor maternal vital signs, contractions, fetal heart rate, and overall condition.
  • Provide nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
  • Assist physicians and midwives with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered.
  • Perform fetal monitoring and promptly report abnormal findings.
  • Recognize and respond to maternal and fetal complications and emergencies.
  • Provide postpartum assessments and monitor for potential complications.
  • Support breastfeeding, newborn care, and patient education.
  • Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Follow infection control, patient safety, and obstetric care standards.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal staff, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Previous Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics, or Postpartum nursing experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • NRP, ACLS, or other obstetric certifications may be required based on position requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of maternal, fetal, and newborn assessment.
  • Ability to respond effectively to high-risk obstetric and emergency situations.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.

Pay Rate
$83.33 - $88.21/hour
