Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing operations during assigned shifts and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The Nurse Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, coordinates patient care activities, and serves as a resource for clinical and operational issues. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while promoting a collaborative and patient-centered care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise nursing staff and oversee patient care activities during assigned shifts
• Provide clinical guidance and support to nurses and ancillary staff
• Coordinate staffing assignments and ensure appropriate coverage based on patient acuity
• Monitor patient care quality and address clinical concerns in a timely manner
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and escalations within the facility
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards
• Conduct rounds to assess patient care delivery and staff performance
• Assist with staff scheduling, orientation, and ongoing training initiatives
• Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and leadership teams
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Support quality improvement initiatives and performance management processes
• Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork and professional development
Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 2–4 years of clinical nursing experience
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required (ACLS preferred based on unit)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and quality improvement practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$113,406.50 - $113,411.38/year
