Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee daily nursing operations, lead clinical staff, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The Nurse Manager will support staffing, clinical standards, employee development, quality improvement, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure effective unit workflow.
- Supervise, coach, and support nursing staff to promote high-quality patient care.
- Develop and manage staff schedules, assignments, and staffing needs.
- Monitor patient care standards, clinical outcomes, and nursing practices.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and support professional development.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and retention of nursing staff.
- Address staffing, patient care, and operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Monitor quality metrics and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Promote infection prevention, medication safety, and evidence-based nursing practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and review clinical records as needed.
- Communicate department goals, policies, and operational updates to staff.
- Participate in leadership meetings, quality initiatives, and organizational projects.
- Support a positive, respectful, and patient-centered work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- BSN preferred; ADN may be considered based on position requirements.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Previous nursing leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient safety, staffing, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Experience with EMR and healthcare management systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- Previous Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager experience.
- Experience with staff scheduling, budgeting, performance management, and quality improvement.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Experience with staff education and competency development.
- Strong conflict-resolution and team-building skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
Pay Rate
$106.20 - $111.08/hour
