Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and advanced imaging equipment. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will ensure patient safety, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety guidelines
  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures using gamma cameras, SPECT, and PET/CT equipment as applicable
  • Position and educate patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to adverse reactions
  • Operate, calibrate, and perform quality control checks on nuclear medicine equipment
  • Process, review, and document imaging studies for interpretation by physicians
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and PACS
  • Follow radiation safety practices, ALARA principles, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, cardiologists, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Active Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in the state of practice, where required
  • Current ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent nuclear medicine experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, imaging protocols, and quality assurance procedures
  • Experience with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospital, outpatient imaging, cardiology, oncology, or PET/CT settings
  • CT certification or experience with hybrid imaging systems (SPECT/CT or PET/CT) preferred
  • Previous travel or contract imaging experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of radiation protection regulations and quality control procedures
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules as required

Pay Rate
$71.90 - $76.78/hour
