Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment, prepare patients for procedures, administer contrast agents when appropriate, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients for MRI procedures.
- Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, devices, and contraindications.
- Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and PACS.
- Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of MRI equipment.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow MRI safety standards, infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Magnetic Resonance Imaging program.
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required.
- ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance (MR) or MRI registry required or obtained within facility guidelines.
- Active state licensure if required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent MRI experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI equipment, imaging protocols, anatomy, and patient safety.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with PACS and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$71.90 - $76.78/hour
