Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT)
We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) to perform laboratory testing that supports accurate diagnosis and patient care. The role involves processing specimens, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining quality standards, and accurately documenting test results.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, receive, identify, and process patient specimens.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests according to established procedures.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Review and verify test results for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quality control testing and address discrepancies or equipment issues.
- Prepare reagents and maintain adequate laboratory supplies.
- Document test results and maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Report critical or abnormal results according to established procedures.
- Follow laboratory safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field, as applicable.
- Current MT/MLT certification or state license as required.
- ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing, quality control, and safety procedures.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
Pay Rate
$46.75 - $51.63/hour
