MRI Technologist
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging results. The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment, follow imaging protocols, screen patients for safety risks, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Screen patients for implants, medical devices, metal objects, and other MRI safety concerns.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients before and during examinations.
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters as needed.
- Administer contrast agents as ordered and monitor patients for reactions.
- Review images for quality and repeat sequences when necessary.
- Maintain MRI safety standards and follow appropriate safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Follow infection control and patient safety practices.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current MRI Technologist license/certification as required by the state.
- ARRT MRI certification or equivalent preferred/required based on the position.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- Previous MRI experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, protocols, and safety standards.
- Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
