Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations. The MRI Technologist will prepare patients, operate MRI equipment, ensure MRI safety, obtain diagnostic-quality images, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Screen patients for MRI safety risks, implants, devices, metal exposure, and contraindications.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for MRI procedures.
- Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast media as permitted by scope of practice and facility protocols.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Evaluate image quality and repeat or adjust sequences when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR and PACS.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized MRI environment.
- Follow MRI safety standards, radiation/imaging safety practices, infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and facility policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography and/or MRI, as applicable.
- Active state license or registration, if required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent MRI Technologist experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI protocols, anatomy, patient positioning, contrast procedures, and MRI safety.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with EMR and PACS systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARRT(MR) certification preferred.
- Experience with 1.5T and/or 3T MRI systems.
- Experience performing neurological, musculoskeletal, abdominal, cardiac, vascular, and other specialty MRI studies.
- Experience in hospital, outpatient imaging, or diagnostic imaging settings.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Pay Rate
$83.58 - $88.46/hour
