Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and diagnostic accuracy. The MRI Technologist will collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to produce quality images that support timely diagnosis and treatment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Prepare, screen, position, and educate patients for MRI procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to MRI safety guidelines and screening for contraindications.
  • Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Evaluate image quality and repeat scans when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and PACS.
  • Perform routine equipment quality control and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Comply with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, radiation/MRI safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
  • Active ARRT (R) certification required.
  • ARRT (MR) certification required or obtained within facility guidelines.
  • Active state licensure if required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent MRI experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI imaging techniques, anatomy, patient positioning, and MRI safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with PACS and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$83.58 - $88.46/hour
