MRI Technologist
Position Summary
Perform MRI examinations safely and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Prepare and position patients, operate MRI equipment, and follow strict safety protocols throughout each procedure.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
- Screen patients for contraindications, implants, and MRI safety concerns.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients before procedures.
- Operate MRI equipment and ensure optimal image quality.
- Administer contrast agents as authorized and monitor patients for reactions.
- Maintain MRI safety standards and follow infection-control procedures.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond to concerns or changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- ARRT MRI certification or equivalent credential preferred/required as applicable.
- Current state license or certification as required.
- Previous MRI experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
