MRI Technologist
Position Summary
We are seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging examinations and produce high-quality diagnostic images. The technologist will operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, administer contrast when required, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Screen patients for MRI safety risks, implants, and contraindications.
- Position patients correctly and provide instructions throughout procedures.
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters as needed.
- Administer contrast media as permitted and monitor patients for reactions.
- Review images for quality and repeat sequences when necessary.
- Monitor patients during examinations and respond to safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
- Follow MRI safety, radiation-free imaging, infection control, and clinical standards.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- ARRT certification in MRI or eligibility, as applicable.
- Current state license or registration, where required.
- Previous MRI experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and imaging techniques.
- Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$83.33 - $88.21/hour
