MRI Technologist
Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to produce high-quality diagnostic images for patient evaluation and treatment. The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, devices, and contraindications.
- Position patients correctly and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate and monitor MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
- Administer contrast agents as permitted and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide appropriate care and reassurance.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
- Follow MRI safety, radiation-free imaging, infection control, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- ARRT MRI certification or equivalent credential preferred/required as applicable.
- State licensure as required.
- Previous MRI experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety and imaging techniques.
- Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
