Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment, accurately position patients, administer contrast when appropriate, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety risks, implants, devices, and contraindications before examinations.
  • Verify patient identity, clinical history, allergies, and examination requirements.
  • Position and prepare patients accurately for MRI procedures.
  • Operate MRI scanners and related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Administer contrast media according to applicable protocols and scope of practice.
  • Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergencies.
  • Evaluate images for quality, positioning, and diagnostic value.
  • Perform appropriate image reconstruction and post-processing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS.
  • Follow MRI safety, radiation-free imaging protocols, infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient safety standards.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and/or MRI certification as applicable.
  • ARRT(MR) certification preferred/required based on position requirements.
  • Active state license where applicable.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent MRI experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety, anatomy, positioning, protocols, and contrast administration.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
  • Experience with EMR and PACS systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ARRT(MR) certification preferred.
  • Experience with 1.5T and 3T MRI systems.
  • Experience with emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and contrast-enhanced MRI examinations.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety screening and management of implants and medical devices.
  • Strong attention to image quality and patient safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced imaging environment.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Pay Rate
$79.29 - $84.17/hour
