Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The MRI Technologist will operate advanced MRI equipment, follow established imaging protocols, administer contrast when appropriate, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
- Screen patients for MRI safety risks, including implants, metal objects, and contraindications
- Prepare and position patients while explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
- Operate and adjust MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast media as appropriate and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Evaluate image quality and repeat sequences when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS
- Follow MRI safety, infection prevention, and patient care standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
- ARRT certification in MRI (MR) or equivalent MRI credential preferred/required based on the position
- Active state radiologic technologist license, if required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent MRI experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, anatomy, and contrast administration
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced imaging environment
Pay Rate
$79.29 - $84.17/hour
