Job Summary:
The Monitor Technician is responsible for continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms and vital signs for patients in an acute care setting. This role supports the clinical team by promptly identifying and communicating changes in patient status.
Key Responsibilities:

Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs.

Accurately interpret EKG/telemetry strips and identify abnormalities.

Promptly notify nursing staff or supervisors of rhythm changes or critical findings.

Maintain and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment.

Document monitoring data according to hospital policies.

Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to support patient care.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year acute care experience, including monitoring of vital signs.

EKG Certification – required.
-
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring.

Attention to detail and ability to respond quickly to changes.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Work Environment:

Acute care hospital setting.

May require rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Rate
$25.89 - $30.77/hour
