- Unit: Laboratory Elmore Hospital
- Certs: BLS. MLS through ASCP or AMT.
- What areas do they cover: Will cover all areas- everyone is a generalist.
- Do they need to be a Generalist: Yes
- Do they need to perform Phlebotomy: Preferred.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: Must have at least 1 year experience as a generalist, okay with 1st time
travelers.
- LIS System: EPIC
- EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area: ORTHO- Chemistry, ACL TOP-Coag, Sysmex- Hematology, Manual Gel-Blood Bank,
Clinitech-UA, ABL 90- ABGs.
- Is there a Lab Manager/Supervisor on each shift: No- Manager available during days, would be working alone on overnights. Manager
available via phone for issues, if needed.
- Do you staff lab assistants: No
- Shifts & Scheduling: 8 hour shifts starting at 0630, 0700. Evening- 4-10s starting at 1130. Nights- 4-10s or 3-12s starting at 1845 Mon-
Thur and 2130 Fri-Sun 3-12. Manager will make schedule.
- Weekend Requirements: Day and night weekend shifts are 12 hours. Will rotate working 1 weekend per month- will be the only tech
staffed.
- Holiday Requirements: Yes if there is a need
- Call or Standby Call Requirement: No
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color as long as clean and professional, lab coats are provided.
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 2 weeks or less
**This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.**
