Position Summary
We are seeking a Certified Midwife (CM) or Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) to provide comprehensive prenatal, birth, and postpartum care in collaboration with a chiropractor in an office-based rural practice. The Midwife will support patients throughout the maternity care journey, including attending home births outside regular office hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal care and support throughout pregnancy.
- Provide birth care and attend home births as required.
- Provide postpartum care and follow-up.
- Monitor patients throughout the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods.
- Develop positive and supportive relationships with patients and families.
- Coordinate care and communicate effectively with the collaborating chiropractor and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain appropriate patient documentation and care records.
- Manage patient schedules and organize care efficiently.
- Provide patient-centered education and support throughout pregnancy and childbirth.
- Attend births outside regular office hours as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients in person, by phone, text, and email.
- Support the growth of the practice as the patient caseload increases.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Midwife (CM) or Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential.
- Current Wyoming licensure or eligibility and willingness to obtain Wyoming licensure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and organize patient care.
- Ability to provide prenatal, birth, and postpartum care.
- Willingness to work in a rural healthcare environment.
- Ability to travel locally for home births and work in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience attending births, particularly home births.
- Passion for rural medicine and community-based maternity care.
- Strong patient relationship-building skills.
- Flexibility to establish work hours as the patient population grows.
- Ability to communicate effectively through in-person, phone, text, and email channels.

Pay Rate
$17.00 - $20.00/hour
