Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and post-operative conditions. The RN will assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, monitor clinical status, and collaborate with the healthcare team to promote safe and effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, pain levels, and changes in patient condition.
- Provide wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other nursing procedures.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status and medical emergencies.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient education.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment, medication administration, care planning, and acute nursing care.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN preferred.
- Experience with post-surgical, orthopedic, cardiac, gastrointestinal, or medically complex patients.
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on patient population.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$61.23 - $66.11/hour
