Med-Surg / PCU Registered Nurse
Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients in a Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. The RN will manage patients with a range of medical conditions, monitor complex needs, administer treatments, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients with medical and complex care needs.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care as needed.
- Manage wounds, drains, oxygen therapy, and other patient care needs.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection control, safety, and patient care standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Med-Surg, PCU, step-down, or telemetry experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- BLS certification; ACLS may be required based on unit requirements.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
