Job Title: Med/Surg – PCU RN
Position Summary
We are seeking a Medical-Surgical/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care to patients with medical and moderately complex conditions. The RN will monitor patients, administer treatments, manage medications, and support safe patient recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and monitor changes in condition.
- Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms as required.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments.
- Provide medical-surgical and progressive care.
- Assist with procedures and patient care activities.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Med/Surg or PCU experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical and progressive care nursing.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Ability to care for patients with varying levels of acuity.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
