Med/Surg / PCU Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Summary
Provide skilled nursing care to patients with medical and surgical conditions, including those requiring intermediate or progressive care monitoring. Assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and coordinate care to promote safe and effective outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, labs, and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide post-operative, wound, and other medical-surgical nursing care.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and clinical emergencies.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and discharge needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Follow infection-control, patient safety, and clinical standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and active RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous Med/Surg, PCU, progressive care, or acute care experience preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or as applicable.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
