Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care for patients with a variety of medical conditions and post-operative needs.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and response to treatment, reporting significant changes promptly.
- Perform wound care, catheter care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing, medication administration, patient assessment, and care planning.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
