Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform accurate laboratory testing that supports the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient specimens.
- Collect, process, and analyze blood, urine, and other specimens.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Perform quality control and verify test results.
- Identify and report abnormal or critical results.
- Follow laboratory safety and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Follow established protocols and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- MLS certification and state license as required.
- Previous hospital or clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification preferred where required.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
