Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures that support early detection and diagnosis of breast conditions. The technologist will operate mammography equipment, ensure patient comfort and safety, and produce high-quality images in compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations as ordered
• Prepare and position patients appropriately while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain mammography imaging equipment
• Obtain high-quality images that meet diagnostic and regulatory standards
• Recognize image quality issues and take corrective action as needed
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and patient care protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and exam documentation
• Assist radiologists by providing relevant clinical information
• Perform routine quality assurance and equipment checks
• Educate patients on procedures and post-exam expectations
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• Active ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) required
• State licensure as required
• Experience in screening and diagnostic mammography preferred
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced imaging environment
