Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Outpatient to provide direct nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN will assist with patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, support clinical procedures, and ensure efficient patient flow while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established care plans
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints
  • Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and prescribed treatments
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations and minor procedures
  • Perform specimen collection, wound care, dressing changes, and other clinical procedures within the LPN scope of practice
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipment
  • Educate patients on medications, treatments, preventive care, and follow-up instructions
  • Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, RNs, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
  • Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient, clinic, primary care, or ambulatory care experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration, clinical procedures, and patient assessment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, specialty clinics, urgent care, or ambulatory care settings
  • Previous travel or contract nursing experience preferred
  • IV therapy certification where permitted by state regulations
  • Experience with phlebotomy, immunizations, and point-of-care testing preferred
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered care skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Pay Rate
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00/year
