Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Local Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. The LPN will assist with patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, and support the healthcare team in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV therapy (where permitted), and treatments.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, specimen collection, and other nursing procedures within scope of practice.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting comfort and safety.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, medication administration, patient assessment, and basic clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$33.68 - $38.56/hour
