Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN will administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, assist with daily nursing care, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans
- Administer medications, injections, IV therapy (where permitted), wound care, and prescribed treatments
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and report significant changes to the supervising RN or provider
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Collect specimens and perform basic nursing procedures within the LPN scope of practice
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote patient comfort
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and health maintenance
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, patient assessment, wound care, and nursing procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$23.23 - $28.10/hour
