Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. The LPN will administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, assist with nursing procedures, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care according to individualized care plans
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and report changes to the supervising RN or physician
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV therapies (where permitted by state regulations), and treatments
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, specimen collection, and other nursing procedures
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, hygiene, and comfort
- Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and health management
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
- Follow infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, patient assessment, and basic nursing procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care, long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, outpatient, home health, or hospice settings
- IV Therapy certification preferred (where permitted by state regulations)
- Previous travel or contract nursing experience preferred
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and patient education skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
Pay Rate
$27.60 - $32.48/hour
